AMP Athletics Philosophy
At AMP Athletics, we are dedicated to helping your child achieve their personal best. Our philosophy emphasizes instilling confidence, respect, and structure in every athlete, all within a safe and enjoyable environment. The well-being of your children is our top priority as they learn to navigate some of life's complex lessons. This is our promise to you.

All of our coaches are trained in the AMP Athletics philosophy, and every staff member is committed to ensuring that your child succeeds and excels in their sport to the fullest potential. We take this responsibility very seriously and appreciate the opportunity to work with and train your child.

Our Classes

Parent and Tot (Ages 1.5 - 3)
This class is designed for children aged 18 months to 3 years and runs for 45 minutes once a week. With the guidance of our instructor, who works closely with both parents and toddlers, children will engage in activities using preschool-size equipment to enhance basic motor skills. Each class features a warm-up, trampoline time, equipment instruction, and supervised play, ensuring a fun experience for everyone involved.*This class is open to both boys and girls!

Big Shots (Ages 4 - 6)
This class is for ages 4 to 6 and is a 1-hour gymnastics fundamentals class designed for active kids. Students will learn basic gymnastics and dance terminology while engaging in dynamic and energetic movements throughout the session. In addition to gymnastics skills, students will also practice essential social skills such as listening, cooperation, patience, and sharing.

Mighty Me (Ages 3 - 4.5)
This class is designed for students aged 3 to 4 ½ years. It is a 45-minute session held once a week. The class aims to challenge your child to continue growing both socially and physically. The focus will be on learning more advanced skills using preschool-sized equipment. Skills taught in this class include forward rolls, backward rolls, gymnastic body positions, cartwheels, various swings on bars, bridge-ups, and much more! Parents are invited to observe from the designated seating area.

Little Lightnings
This is a 1-hour tumbling fundamentals class designed for active kids. Students will perform dynamic and active movements while also learning basic terminology. In addition to tumbling, students will practice important social skills such as listening, cooperation, patience, and sharing.

Tumbling
Level 1 Tumble 1 is our fundamental level tumbling class, where students will begin with USASF Level 1 skills. The skills covered in this class include: - Straddle Press Handstand - Back Extension Roll - Standing Round Off - Standing Back Handspring - Cartwheel Back Handspring - Back Handspring, pause, Back Handspring - Back Walkover, Back Handspring - Front Walkover, Handspring - Round Off, Back Handspring and series - Front Walkover, Round Off, Back Handspring - Round Off, Back Handspring, Step Out, Round Off, Back Handspring - Front Walkover, Round Off, Back Handspring, Step Out, Round Off, Back Handspring This level also introduces front-to-back running tumbling combination passes. Once students master these skills, they will be tested for advancement to the next level.
Level 2 Tumble 2 is designed for students who have a strong grasp of the fundamentals of tumbling. In this class, students will work to perfect their Level 1 skills while also learning Level 2 skills as designated by the USASF. Skills for this class include: - Straddle Press Handstand - Back Extension Roll - Standing Round Off - Standing Back Handspring - Cartwheel Back Handspring - Back Handspring Pause Back Handspring - Back Walkover Back Handspring - Front Walkover Handspring - Round Off Back Handspring and its series - Front Walkover Round Off Back Handspring - Round Off Back Handspring Step Out Round Off Back Handspring - Front Walkover Round Off Back Handspring Step Out Round Off Back Handspring This level also introduces front-to-back running tumbling combination passes. Once athletes have mastered these skills, they will be tested for advancement to the next level.
Level 3 The Tumble 3 Class is designed for students who have a strong understanding of fundamental tumbling skills. In this class, students will continue to perfect Level 1 skills while also working on Level 2 skills as well as Level 3 skills as outlined by the USASF. Skills covered in this class include: - Straddle Press Handstand - Back Extension Roll - Standing Round Off - Standing Back Handspring - Cartwheel Back Handspring - Back Handspring to Back Handspring - Back Walkover to Back Handspring - Front Walkover to Handspring - Round Off Back Handspring and its variations - Front Walkover to Round Off Back Handspring - Round Off Back Handspring with Step Out - Front Walkover to Round Off Back Handspring with Step Out - Standing Tuck -Back Handspring Back Tuck This level also introduces front-to-back running tumbling combination passes. Once students have mastered these skills, they will be tested for progression to the next level.
Level 4 The Tumble 4 Class is designed for students who have a strong understanding of fundamental tumbling skills. In this class, students will continue to perfect Level 3 skills while also working on Level 4 skills as well as outlined by the USASF. Skills covered in this class include: - Standing Back Tuck - Cartwheel Back Tuck - Back Handspring to Back Tuck - Round Off Back Handspring to back tuck -Round off back handspring to full -Standing full. This level continues instruction in front-to-back running tumbling combination passes. Once students have mastered these skills, they will be tested for progression to the next level.

Girls Recreational Gymnastics
GYMNASTICS 1 – (AGES 5+) Level 1 gymnastics classes are designed to introduce children to the basic fundamentals of gymnastics. Instruction is provided on full-size equipment by highly trained coaches. Skills taught include forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, bridge-ups, bridge kick-overs, pull-overs, and more. Students will work on body control and will focus on building strength and flexibility, which are essential components of gymnastics.
GYMNASTICS 2 – (AGES 8+) These gymnastics classes are designed to help students understand and learn the fundamental skills of gymnastics. All instruction is conducted on full-size equipment and led by highly trained coaches. Skills taught include forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, bridge ups and kickovers, pull-overs, and more. Students will continue to develop body control while focusing on building strength and flexibility, which are essential components of gymnastics.
GYMNASTICS 3 – (AGES 8+) These gymnastics classes are designed to help students understand and learn the fundamental skills of gymnastics. All instruction is conducted on full-size equipment and led by highly trained coaches. Skills taught include forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, bridge ups and kickovers, pull-overs, and more. Students will continue to develop body control while focusing on building strength and flexibility, which are essential components of gymnastics.
GYMNASTICS PRE-TEAM Does your child have that spark? Do they aspire to become an athlete on our competitive gymnastics team? If so, this is the perfect class for them! This entry-level class is designed for gymnasts who have not yet been invited onto the pre-team. In this class, gymnasts train for 1.5 hours once a week. The focus will be on maintaining a tight body position and developing good body control through a variety of assisted skills and drills. Attention will also be given to presentation, which is a crucial aspect of competitive gymnastics. Additionally, strength and flexibility exercises will be incorporated to better prepare your child for our competitive program. This class is for ages 4 to 8, and enrollment requires an evaluation.

Boys Recreational Gymnastics
BOYS GYMNASTICS 1 (AGES 6+) This the entry level gymnastics class. It's designed for athletes who have successfully mastered all skills from the Beginning Skill Card (we can evaluate them at any time) and have received approval from a coach to advance to this level. Instruction is conducted using full-size equipment. Skills taught in this class include: - Handstand Forward Rolls - Round Offs - Back Bend Kick Overs - Straight Arm Backward Rolls - Back Handsprings on trampolines - Cast Back Hip Circles - Glides on bars - Handstands and Cartwheels to Handstands on the beam In addition to these skills, the coaches will ensure that students continue to demonstrate proper technique and form, which is critical for their ongoing skill development. Strength and flexibility will remain a key focus of this class, as they become increasingly important with skill advancement and future competitive team opportunities.

Little Ninjas
Little Ninjas (Ages 5-7) combines obstacle course training, gymnastics, rock climbing, and character building. These programs form the foundation for whole-body movement and the mind-body connection. A progressive level system assesses and advances children in their skills and knowledge, helping them build strength and agility, all the while burning that extra energy they all seem to possess.

Parkour
Boys Beginner Parkour (Ages 7-12) is a part of our Boys Recreational Program, and we love that it focuses not only on skill-building but also on character development. This program is designed for students ages 8 and up, providing a fun opportunity to learn valuable skills while gaining personal growth along the way. Participants will learn how to set goals, take risks, and build self-esteem, resilience, and motivation. They will also have the chance to make new friends, celebrate hard work, and recognize the importance of effort and commitment.
